Meet Our Directors
Our artistic director is Mr. Christopher Wilson. He is passionate about developing and encouraging young musicians to be creative and independent. He is committed to teaching music literacy to young singers, this is a skill that will last them a lifetime.
Chris has a wide range of musical experience, including performing many diverse musical styles(barbershop, classical, jazz, gospel, and musical theater), teaching at several age levels, directing church choirs, teaching private voice, and playing a variety of musical instruments. This is Chris' 21st year in public education as a choir director, and he is excited to be directing the Children's Choir of Johnson County. Chris graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's in Music Education where he performed with many musical ensembles both vocal and instrumental. Chris also serves University UMC in Fort Worth as the music director for the traditional service. Chris is a sought -out choir clinician, and his choirs consistently earn superior ratings at Texas UIL competitions. Chris is married to hs wife Heather, and they have three children, in his free time he enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
